Part-time Post-Baccalaureate Research Coordinator

ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ has an opening for a part-time Post-Baccalaureate Research Coordinator.

Summary: Part-time Research Coordinator on a funded project in the Development, Early Experience, and Resilience (DEER) Lab (PI: Cora Mukerji) and the Connection, Affect, and Regulation of Emotion (CARE) Lab (PI: Ariana Orvell) within the Department of Psychology at ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿. This fixed-term, part-time position (17.5 hours/week) is initially offered from October 15, 2025- August 18, 2026, with the possibility of extending the position based on performance and continued funding. The DEER and CARE Labs investigate how children and adults regulate their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Our funded project will use experimental methods to examine how parents can help their children effectively regulate negative emotions in the moment.

Primary Responsibilities: The part-time coordinator will be trained by the Principal Investigator (PI) and Co-Investigator (Co-I) and will work with the PI, Co-PI and undergraduate researchers to carry out the funded project. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): maintaining a system to track participant consenting, participation, and study compensation; developing and carrying out study protocols, managing project databases; conducting bi-weekly checks of data integrity; and helping manage additional study staff (e.g., undergraduate students research assistants).

Qualifications:

  • Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Neuroscience or a related field, with at least one year of relevant research experience with human subjects at the undergraduate or post-baccalaureate level.
  • Strong collaboration and leadership skills for working with undergraduate students are essential.
  • The ideal applicant will possess excellent organizational and writing skills, the ability to work and problem-solve independently, and proficiency working with Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience working with children and/or families, as well as with data analysis software (e.g., R, SPSS, or Jamovi), is strongly preferred but not required.
