Biography

Caroline Bittenbender is a visual storyteller who brings a journalistic eye to her work as Videographer and Photographer at ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿. In this role, she creates dynamic visual content—photographing, filming, editing, and producing videos that share the voices, experiences, and spirit of the Bryn Mawr community with broad audiences. Her work supports institutional storytelling across marketing, admissions, development, and campus news.

Caroline’s approach to storytelling is grounded in her belief in the power of images to illuminate the human experience and build authentic connections with audiences.

She has developed a wide-ranging portfolio through internships in multimedia at UNC Research and video production at WRT Design, and in her former role as Photo Editor at The Daily Tar Heel, UNC’s student-run newspaper.

During her undergraduate studies at the UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media, Caroline produced a wide variety of projects that highlight topics including environmental justice, women’s voices, higher education, mental health, breaking news, and more. In 2022, she travelled to the Galápagos Islands, Ecuador, as part of an award-winning international reporting team of student journalists.

Through her creative work at Bryn Mawr, Caroline aims to explore how visual storytelling can inspire, inform, and bring communities closer together through strategic initiatives.

A Philadelphia native, Caroline loves practicing street photography in Philly on her free time. She also enjoys painting, rock concerts, and live band karaoke. Her favorite cheesesteak spot is Jim’s on South Street, and her special talent is parallel parking.
