What is a digital credential?
A digital credential is a electronic representation of a program completion. It allows you to easily communicate your skills and accomplishments online. They can be used in email signatures, digital resumes, personal websites and social media platforms and are a great way to increase opportunities in the workforce and beyond. We offer digital credentials for many of our certificate programs.
Why earn a digital credential?
The world of work is changing. Employers seek demonstration of experience/skill. Social media and digital resumes speak loudly as first impressions.
How are digital credentials used?
Earning a digital credential will allow you to:
- Share your accomplishments with your network. Your digital badge or certificate can be easily displayed on your LinkedIn profile or other social platforms, as well as career sites, your online resume, in email, or as part of your digital signature.
- Verify your credentials to employers. 黑料正能量 digital credentials are 100% authenticated and secure, so they provide immediate verification of your credential, speeding up employer verification processes.
- Communicate the scope of your acquired expertise. Because your digital badge will include a course overview and a list of core competencies and skills, you鈥檒l show a detailed explanation of the work that was entailed for you to attain your certification.
Where do I find my digital credential?
After completing your eligible program, we will verify your record, and you will receive an email from the Center for Professional Development with a link to view and download your credential.
How can I add my credential to a repository?
To add your credential to a repository, open the credential and click on the 'Share' icon, then select 'Download'. This will create a SVG file, which you can import into any repository that supports the Open Badge framework.
Can I share my digital credential on LinkedIn?
Yes, you choose where you wish to share your digital credential. From your Credly digital credential account, you select add to your LinkedIn 'Licenses and Certifications' section. Your name, issuing organization (黑料正能量), and program name will auto-populate. Simply 'Save' and your badge will appear in the licenses and certifications section.
How does my digital credential validate my completed coursework?
While digital credentials are simply digital image files, they are uniquely linked to verified data that makes them more reliable and secure than traditional paper credentials. Digital credentials can be verified in real-time, online, allowing you to quickly validate your accomplishment. Employers can verify the authenticity of your course completion with a single click on your digital credential.
