Take a Course in the Writing Program!

WRIT B190 Writing Workshop: For first-year students interested in building a stronger foundation of writing skills. Strengthen your academic and research writing through this workshop-style course. Students develop research questions and are guided step-by-step through sources use, writing, and revision. WRIT B220 Multilingualism in the U.S.: Open to sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Explore multilingualism through linguistics, sociology, anthropology, and education. Topics include linguistic justice, immigrant and refugee experiences, and language in diverse communities. Emphasis on analytical and research writing. WRIT B280 The Teaching of Writing: A Praxis II course for students interested in writing tutoring or teaching at the high school or college level. Learn composition theory and current issues in the teaching of writing, design teaching materials, and create a learning module for Emily Balch Seminar students and instructors. Questions?
